Photo fun at the Magic Kingdom
Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 11:03AM I've had a lot of fun with my camera lately. (Nikon D80, which is a wonderful camera!) On Friday night, when I went to the Magic Kingdom with my friend Tracy to meet up with some other friends of ours, I got to play with a really good quality tripod, courtesy of Tracy's job. (Thanks Tracy!) I got some really incredible shots of Tomorrowland and the castle and fireworks at night. Just goes to show your TRULY need a tripod if you're going to get awesome night exposures, simply due to the extended length of time the shutter speed needs to be opened in order to record all the fantastic lights and colors.
Here's some of my favorite photos:

Love the above exposure of Tommorowland. I love that Astro Orbiter is in motion (those green lines above in the back). So cool! This land's really a feast for your eyes at night.
The photos below are of Wishes fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom. For anyone who doesn't know, I'm a fireworks freak! I just LOVE fireworks. Some people can take or leave them - I'm not one of those people! Luckily, I've been fortunate enough to see this awe-inspiring show so many times, I am pretty familiar with when the "wow" moments are going to hit. I can even hear the music in my head for the exact moments these photos were taken when I look at them now.

And of course the big finale!!!

I'm really loving this photography thing! Stay tuned for my first couples session I shot yesterday and my Facebook fan page launch!

Wonderful. Have the D80 myself and happy with it as well. These shots are outstanding. I could not imagine taking a tripod to Disney (at least during the busy season, which seems to be the only time we can manage to get there lately).
I love, love, love these shots. Now I have the music in my head too. I have to figure out how to go and take my tripod in with all of the kid junk.
I didn't know you were into photography too - a girl of so many talents! These shots are amazing! :)
Um.. fireworks freak? Really.. I never would have guessed. lol!
